Voter Lists
The following voter lists have been copied from Southwest Florida area newspapers. The names have been
spelled as originally written, without correction. Keep in mind that Fort Denaud and LaBelle were a part of Lee
County until 1923; North LaBelle was a part of DeSoto County until 1921 and then Glades County until 1923 or
later. In the January 20, 1938 edition of the Hendry County News there is a notice that the residents of "the
recently annexed section of north LaBelle to Hendry county" needed to register to vote at the courthouse "as
their present registration in Glades county is null and void."
